Coastal Planning Program
CREST Coastal Planning Program
The Coastal Planning Program is the most fundamental function of the work that CREST does in the lower Columbia. This program assists local jurisdictions with state and federal permit applications, zoning ordinance, comprehensive plan and shoreline master plan amendments, shoreline and waterway development permit review, and coastal and estuarine planning and plan implementation.
CREST has been a vehicle for the local jurisdictions and region to develop integrated coastal management of their resources. The Coastal Planning Program has developed several comprehensive management plans for the region.
