West Sand Island Tidal Restoration Project - Literature Review, Cultural Resources Field Survey, and Reporting necessary to achieve compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act

CREST is requesting proposals to provide cultural resource services for the West Sand Island Tidal Restoration Project located in Clatsop County, Oregon. The project area is located between River Mile three and five within the Columbia River Estuary (CRE) in Baker Bay. The Columbia River Estuary Study Taskforce (CREST) is proposing a partnership with the Army Corps of Engineers (owner of the island) to restore hydrologic connectivity including floodplain and tidal processes between the Columbia River and the interior of West Sand Island. Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) will be funding this project and is the federal nexus for compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. CREST requires a firm with direct experience in Section 106 compliance, archaeological field surveys, and coordination with federal agencies and permitting requirements.  PROJECTS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN 4 PM on DECEMBER 19th, 2018.
